 Finally, identify three ways that this video can teach people about community


After watching the short film named "Elevator Music", I think that the authors purpose is to show what respect looks like.  In the video, it starts out with a young girl listening to "jivy" music, and an older man listening to slow tunes.  As the short film progresses, more people enter the elevator and "compete" their music on their phones with each other in volumes.  Finally, a young male comes in with a huge radio, and leaves everyone in the elevator interested as to what he would chose to play.  He pops in the disc and then to everyones surprise, pops in an earbud as well.  I think that the authors audience is meant to be the entire community. Often, we see people competing over silly unnecessary things, such as elevator music.  The author shows these people competing and being somewhat rude to one another, and then finally a young man that comes in and respectfully puts in an earbud and is silent.  I think that the author chose a really good analogy to represent this idea, because it shows people competing unnecessarily.  This video could teach people to respect one another, and be considerate of those around you.  Additionally, I think that this could teach us all to be patient with one another, as some people might not have grown up to do these things.
